Valley Of The Dolls - Jacqueline Susann Reading another book reminded me that I had read this soon after it came out. Lots of drugs, lots of sex and according to book I'm reading now about best sellers, there was more of an underlying theme than I noticed at the time.

No desire to re-read the book but wouldn't mind holding it in my hand to review based on recent comments I've read. According to James Hall and his students, it reflected a sign of the times. I can certainly agree with that.

Even remember what edition it was so I guess it made some kind of impression on me. Remember being glad I was of the 'beautiful and sexy' set who took Manhattan by storm. Far too many obstacles for me to come out on the upside.
