Night Passage - Robert B. Parker Oops, another one by Parker that I didn't know I had read.

This is the first Jesse Stone series and it was quite good, it wasn't what I considered great.

Loved the character Jesse though and that's what saved me...this fellow is so flawed and he knows it but is trying hard to pull himself up out of the bottom of the barrel.

Paradise, Mass though doesn't quite live up to its name with corruption all around. The city fathers though they were getting a loser from California, an ex-cop who drank too much. Little did they know he was on his way up. Not a straight shot to the top up for Jesse; two rungs up, three rungs down kind of life.

Good book though, good enough to want to read another...when finished with Spenser!
