Attended a writer's conference because I like and read Les Standiford and James W. Hall (they were speakers) and this was the only book for sale that Standiford had which I hadn't read.
Although I (along with the rest of America) followed the Adam Walsh story and John Walsh's later success on television with America's Most Wanted, this isn't a book I would normally read. With that said, it was an easy read with much more information about the abduction, evidence and subsequent arrest than was made known to the general public. It puts to rest any questions about what happened to that sweet little boy who disappeared in south Florida more than 20 years ago.
Standiford is a solid and seasoned writer who can explain complicated details with clear writing skill.
The subtitle is "The Abduction That Changed America" and it certainly did that.
A fine book and interesting subject.
